Deborah Warren's poems have appeared, or are scheduled to appear, in America, The Atlanta Review, Commonweal, and The Paris Review.  In 2000 she received the Robert Penn Warren Prize from The Cumberland Poetry Review and was runner-up for the T. S. Eliot Prize.  She received the 2001 Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award from the Formalist.
